Bart Vonk, project manager FAIR, has introduced the FAIR community to the Kring of Coastal Engineers. This organization is a long-standing community by which all North Sea Region countries are represented.

Within the EU Interreg FAIR-project, a technical framework for aligning efforts in adaptive asset management of flood protection has been developed. The framework aligns and operationalizes concepts from ISO-standards on climate adaptation and asset management.

The reason for this conference (june 4th 2020) was that the EU Interreg North Sea region projects Building with Nature and FAIR both have come to an end and C5a reached its halfway point. The conference focused on the importance of adaptation to become resilient to climate change and transnational cooperation to achieve that. Apart from that we gained new ideas for how to move forward in future projects.
